About
Our spring meeting centres around food security emergency planning and is in collaboration with Ione Smith of Upland Agricultural Consulting. We would like to hear member's input on the Food Security Emergency Plan, key issues on planning for food security, and current needs and opportunities. We're looking forward to hearing updates from our members as they face the growing and harvesting season ahead.
Lunch will be provided by a local caterer, courtesy of the ACRD. Please RSVP so we have accurate numbers for a delicious meal together!
The agenda for the meeting will be sent out to members and registrants two weeks ahead of the event. If there's something you'd like added to the agenda, please contact us Amy Needham, the Sustainability Planner of the ACRD or Katie Miles of Tofino Community Food Initiative.
The Coastal Foods Roundtable exists to foster collaborative relationships, network-building, and synergy between members. When we meet together and connect, we reduce segregation and silos between land-based, marine, and
forest-based food industries by providing an opportunity for direct relationship building and allowing collaboration and cross-referencing. The CFR is a platform for primary producers and processors to engage with local government through staff and the Agricultural Development Committee of the ACRD.
